Superior Car Care Information

Car Care isn't actually about your car.

It's about anniversary dinner dates,
your college student home for the holidays,
soccer games, high school prom,
summer vacations, and groceries.

Car Care is about the precious cargo your car gets from point A to point B everyday.
At Superior, our mission is to ensure your vehicle is always safe and reliable, for the things that matter most.

Recommended Service Intervals

21st century automobiles are capable of running reliably and efficiently 2 to 3 times longer than their predecessors, provided they are properly maintained.

There is a difference between proper maintenance and required maintenance.

Required maintenance is what you find in the owner's manual; the bare minimum needed just to get the vehicle through the new car warranty period (which is usually 36,000 miles) and not much beyond. In fact, vehicles receiving only required maintenance almost universally experience significant problems and expensive repairs before 100,000 miles.

Proper maintenance is what is recommended to ensure your vehicle is always in top condition, even after your odometer reads 6 digits. A properly maintained vehicle can be expected to exceed 250,000 miles largely trouble free.

Below is a Proper Maintenance Schedule. This outline of regular services at generally accepted time/mileage intervals for most vehicles has proven to be the minimum needed to keep your car operating virtually problem free for hundreds of thousands of miles.
